On a somewhat snowy Sunday morning one hundred thirteen undergraduate nursing students, 10 RN to BSN students, 6 graduate nursing students and 5 nurse leaders were inducted into the Delta Upsilon Chapter at-Large on December 6th 2009 at the Quonset O Club. Salve Regina University Department of Nursing joined the chapter last spring and this is the first joint induction ceremony. Following a delicious brunch with their families the inductees recited the oath of induction led by President M. Patricia Quigley. Dayle Joseph of URI, Dean Jane Williams of RIC and Dr. Peggy Matteson, chair of nursing at SRU read the inductees names from each school. Each inductee signed the Chapter membership book was welcomed into the chapter and the International Honor Society with a rose. Regina Campbell and her committee did a superb job organizing the event, while the faculty counselors, Pat Stout of URI, Karen Hetzel of RIC, and Joanne Mullaney Barnes of SRU ensured the ceremony flowed smoothly.
